Satire is dead, killed by Hank Paulson

So where did that $7 trillion figure in the US treasury bail-out plan come from?


"It's not based on any particular data point," a Treasury spokeswoman told Forbes.com Tuesday. "We just wanted to choose a really large number."

Really, could that be any more Onion-esque?
